As the VP of Finance, you will be the architect of our financial future, playing a key role in scaling our operations and driving our strategic fundraising efforts.

The Vice President of Finance will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy through its next stage of growth. This role will manage operational finance, oversee financial planning, capital allocation, fundraising support, while building out scalable systems and processes appropriate for a late-stage technology company with global ambitions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in both corporate finance and operations, with proven success supporting semiconductor or hardware-intensive businesses through scale, fundraising, and potential IPO readiness.

You will play a central role in scaling a business that is addressing some of the most critical challenges in computing today, while working alongside world-class engineers, operators, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Finance & Accounting
    • Manage all aspects of operational finance and accounting to include daily transactions, quarterly reporting, tax responsibilities, etc.
    • Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Build and maintain robust financial models to drive decision-making and scenario planning.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
    • Oversee cash management and working capital optimization.
  • Capital Strategy & Investor Relations 
    • Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and Board to define financial strategies that align with company growth and fundraising objectives.
    • Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and Board on fundraising strategy, including venture capital, strategic investors, and debt financing.
    • Provide clear financial insight to support strategic decision making related to R&D investment, manufacturing scale-up, partnerships, and market expansion.
    • Support investor relations, including board reporting, investor updates, and due diligence processes.
    • Prepare the company for IPO or other strategic exit opportunities
  • Team Leadership & Infrastructure
    • Operate in a lean-team environment while planning to build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
    • Implement scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support rapid growth and international operations.
    • Drive operational excellence across procurement, cost management, and supply chain finance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a senior executive role (VP Finance, CFO, or equivalent) at a late-stage, high-growth technology company.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, hardware, or deep-tech industries preferred.
  • Proven track record managing capital strategy, fundraising, and preparing companies for IPO or acquisition.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing cost structures, supply chain financing, and global operations.
  • Hands-on leader with experience building finance teams and scaling processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.

Who we are:

  • Ferric is a late-stage technology startup based in New York City. Ferric has pioneered an entirely new approach to power delivery for Integrated Circuits and Electronic Assemblies. This approach leverages Ferric’s integration of thin-film magnetic inductors with CMOS semiconductor technology to enable a significant improvement in the integration density and efficiency of voltage regulators (VRs) compared with current commercially available technologies.

Compensation:

  • Salary range ($160,000-250,000)
